100,000 Hand Drawn Questions from the Red Notebooks

Peter Jaeger

100,000 Hand-Drawn Questions from the Red Notebooks probes the interface between analogue, hand written text and that text’s reproduction via digital photography.

The text has several constraints: it is all handwritten; every sentence takes the form of an extemporized question; excerpts of these questions are drawn from a series of notebooks and photographed.

The use of reframed source texts is evident from time to time, but these sources are only present when filtered through inexact and spontaneous personal memories.

100,000 Hand-Drawn Questions from the Red Notebooks interrogates a range of subjects, including psychoanalysis, spirituality, politics, and technology.
