‘trigonometry’ started out in 2016 as parallelogram, writing in Vermont (la moi el/le valley) was a recall of my childhood in Germany. With the experience of my January 2020 residency in Sutton, Québec, my homes as writer were obliged to re-arrange themselves in wonderfully warm coats of magnificent marginal [g]losses.
Susanne Eules is a German-American poet, writer, musician, performer and visual artist. Their work explores the intersection of culture, nature and memory across languages.
Two books of poetry der kønig.innen hasen hůten (herding the queens’ hares) and ůbern růckn des atlantiks/den rand des nachmittags (across the ridge of the atlantic/the edge of the afternoon) published in Austria (2016) and Germany (2012). Their chapbook lièvre – a book of hares came out with dancing girl press, Chicago in 2018. Publications in literary and exhibition venues, various grants, literary awards and residencies in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Canada and the USA.
